Many rural communities struggle to retain their young people and find it equally challenging to attract young newcomers to their towns and regions.

Are most rural and remote communities doomed to slowly atrophy, and eventually die, as their youth leave for the jobs and excitement of major urban areas? Or are there ways these communities can turn the demographic tide, providing local young people with persuasive reasons to stay, and youthful urban creatives incentives to consider a move?
